August 30-September 3, 2010

English 3:  We will be working on the "Soundtrack of My Life" project Monday, Wednesday, and Friday.  Tuesday and Thursday we will be reading.  As of Wednesday, you should have all six songs/lyrics chosen.   Remember to read, as of Tuesday, 15 pages for 30 minutes a day.   You MUST record these pages and a one or two sentence summary on your calendar each time as well.  You should bring a book to class every day beginning Tuesday. 

Communications:  We will have a Chapter 1 test Monday.   We will discuss Chapter 2 this week.  Chapter 2 test is tentatively scheduled for Thursday.

English 4:  We are discussing ways of making meaning of a text.  Monday, read and annotate "American Childhood."  We will read "Men and Their Hidden Feelings" and "Standing His Ground" this week as well.  Read them when assigned and prepare for a quiz for each.  Remember:  your self addressed envelope is due by Wednesday!  Put the date you want me to send it to you on the back flap.
