Speech: We had two more good speeches yesterday. Presenting for us today will be Gilbert and Sierra.
Sophomores: Remember, the first 8 lines (I said seven yesterday--sorry) of Antony's funeral speech must be memorized by Monday. The rest of the speech is for extra credit as is dressing in a toga that day. Today, we will watch the part of the play that we did not read. You will have a worksheet with questions that must be answered, so those of you that were daydreaming or *sleeping* or whatever during the movie yesterday will need to pay attention!!
Freshmen: 3rd hour: I'm proud of you all for your efforts in reading the assigned portion of Romeo and Juliet and trying to figure out what Shakespeare meant. Good first try! Today, we are going to discuss what problems you encountered while reading. Then, we will see how Romeo feels, since we've seen how Juliet is taking all this. You will write an advice column for Romeo today, telling him what you think he should do.
fifth and seventh hours: We will read what the prince decrees for Romeo's punishment and how Juliet feels about Romeo now. We will be working on a worksheet.
