English 3: First hour -- We will read a bit of "The Fall of the House of Usher" and then discuss Poe's style. You will be given a role sheet for your assigned group of literature circles for tonight's reading. Prepare that role sheet for Monday. Sixth and seventh hours -- You will get into your groups and discuss what you prepared. You will then get new role sheets and will need to read up to the bottom of page 319 for Monday.
English 4/1101: Today we will work on narrowing down your topic (you may wish to keep the one you outlined yesterday). The main thing we need to hammer out is your principle for classification. We will fill out a sheet narrowing down information from yesterday. Then, we will discuss the sample paper from two days ago, "Different Computer Users." We will also look at another sample paper. If time allows, we will discuss how to paraphrase and incorporate MLA style into your paper.
