TODAY IS SPIRIT DAY--SHOW YOUR BEARCAT PRIDE. There is a picnic in the afternoon. Tomorrow--classes during 1-4 hours, then pep rally and parade. GO BEARCATS!!

Speech: Now that you are all finished with coronation practice, we will begin looking at sample job opening advertisements and then create one per "company member." Samples will be given so that you have an idea of what yours should look like.

Sophomores: Check over your essay for an interesting and well-worked in introduction, lots of details and explanation, and a conclusion that ties back into the intro. Check for sophisticated transitions, also, that are used not only in the beginnings of sentences but also within paragraphs. Essay will be due Tuesday. Tuesday will also be lit circles, since not all classes meet today due to Homecoming activities.

Freshmen: Finish your vocabulary sentences and type. Print four copies. Have three students take your "test" and grade them. Staple all three, along with an answer key (the fourth one you printed--write in answers) and turn in. Lit circles will be Tuesday, since not all classes meet today due to Homecoming activities.
