English 3: First hour -- We will discuss where you got stuck on the Pluto article and then discuss the next story to read, "The Devil and Tom Walker." Sixth and seventh hours: We will discuss "The Devil and Tom Walker" where you got stuck. Additionally, we will work with digging deeply to find meaning in the story.
English 4/1101: REMEMBER to post your comparison/contrast essays before 3:00 today! Go to bb.rlc.edu to post. Turn in your responses to "The Ways We Lie." We will discuss the author's use of division/classification and the thesis/development. We will then do some group exercises with division/classification. For homework (due Monday) read "Propaganda Techniques in Today's Advertising" and prepare a response of at least 3/4 page.
Speech: Interveidws begin today. The groups conducting interviews are as follows: Momo's, The Sexy Stiletto, The International House of Cookie Dough, and Bricocr. Next week will be Shukites Law Firm, Ghouls R Us, Fashion 4 Felines, and Real Deal Toilets as well as any make-ups from the first set of interviews.
