Now you know: The short-term capacity for most people is between five and nind items or digits. This is one reason that phone numbers were kept to seven digits for so long!

Speech: Impromptu speeches begin today.

Sophomores: You were to have read Chapter 6 for today. Today, you will finish your character charts and discuss up to the end of Chapter 6. Chapters 7-10 with a journal due Monday. I expect a journal with connections, confusing parts, notes about the author's craft (similes, plot, flashbacks, irony, etc.), cool language, etc. for discussion.

Freshmen: Today, we will discuss up to page 92. For Monday, you will need to have read up to page 126 and have filled out a journal with connections, confusing parts, notes about the author's craft (similes, plot, flashbacks, irony, etc.), cool language, etc. for discussion.
