Speech: We will resume speeches where we left off last week.
Sophomores: Today, you should turn in a printout of your slides from the Greek and Latin root words Power Point presentation you created last week. To do this, go to "file", "print", then on the left side in the middle choose the drop-down box and select "handouts." Then print. If time allows, we may begin presenting them today. If not, we will begin tomorrow, one or two groups a day throughout the week. We will discuss some background to Julius Caesar and then begin Act I.
Freshmen: Today, you should turn in a printout of your slides from the Greek and Latin root words Power Point presentation you created last week. To do this, go to "file", "print", then on the left side in the middle choose the drop-down box and select "handouts." Then print. Next, I will hand out a packet of papers for Romeo and Juliet. We will answer some questions included in the packet. Then, we will discuss the background for Romeo and Juliet and hopefully begin the Prologue. If at any time you are having difficulty understanding the text, you may wish to visit http://www.clicknotes.com/romeo/SP1.html . Be warned, however, that Shakespeare wrote with crude humor to capture his audience and the authors of this site explain it in full detail. Do not go here if you may be insulted or embarrassed. If there is not enough time, we will instead present some of the Power Point presentations. The presentations will continue, one or two groups a day, throughout the week.
