English 3 -- We will work in groups discussing Emerson's "Self-Reliance." For homework, you will be given a worksheet with quotes from "Self-Reliance." Choose ONE and describe it's significance to you in a well-developed paragraph. Additionally, you will receive Robert Frost's poem "The Road Not Taken." You should mark it for Socratic Circles tomorrow.
English 4 -- We will discuss Toulmin logic today. By Monday, you will need your topic, thesis statement, and three possible main points.
Speech -- You should have your first expository speech topic by today (you all said you had them yesterday). Today, we will complete an audience analysis and how to conduct research. Three main points are due by tomorrow.
