English 3 -- We will NOT do a quick 8 today. Instead, we will attempt to log into p214.ezboard.com/bcchsenglish and reply to others' questions. First, though, we will discuss what makes a good post and I will give you examples. Reply to at least two other students' posts. With time remaining, I will put you in groups and assign your group a theme from the reading so far. For homework, you will need to think of some examples of the theme in the novel so far and be prepared to discuss it tomorrow. Also, you should have read to the end of Chapter 25 and prepared leveled questions for discussion by FRIDAY.

English 4 - 1102 -- We will discuss research theses today in class. In groups, you will discuss your thesis statements over "The Lottery" and choose the best ones. I will then allow you time to research your topic or read books over your topic. Please begin using bib and note cards to collect information.

Speech -- Jason Swan from RLC will be here this hour today. Speeches will begin tomorrow.
